For the past 12 years,  Attorney Shaffaval has been Director of the Lawyer of the Day program for the Essex County Probate & Family Court assisting families with divorces, custody issues, guardianships, restraining orders and DOR cases.

Attorney Shaffaval also handles Care & Protection cases as an investigator for the Essex County Juvenile Courts and has represented clients in criminal matters from arraignment through disposition at hearings regarding motions, sentencing, probably cause, tender of plea and mental health (section 12) matters.

Attorney Shaffaval has experience as a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) in matters involving child custody and is a trained mediator.  She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Essex County Bar Association and the Newburyport Bar Association.
