With an extensive knowledge of family law, child development and family dynamics, Attorney Quinn’s dual degrees in law and social work provide her clients with the tools they need to ensure their children will thrive following separation and divorce. Attorney Quinn is equally dedicated to these same goals when working with separating and divorcing couples in mediation and when acting as a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) in complex custody investigations for the Probate Court.
Attorney Quinn was one of the founders and co-facilitators of an award-winning parenting program known as “Only One Childhood” aimed at helping divorcing and separating parents understand the effects of their conflict on their children and how to best move them to a calmer and more peaceful place. Her background also includes experience in domestic violence, mental health disorders, substance abuse and crisis management.
Attorney Quinn is a member of the Essex County Bar Association, the Newburyport Bar Association, the Massachusetts Association of Guardians Ad Litem and the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation. She is also qualified as an "expert" social worker for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and this allows her to understand how the many different systems in a family's life (work, school, peer groups, etc.) can affect the functioning of its individual members, analyze the strengths and weaknesses within the family, and help our clients arrive at the very best solutions for themselves and their children.
